Wightwick Manor is a lovely Victorian manor in the Arts and Crafts style set in 17 acres of superb gardens. During our visit on a sunny spring day, we were able to see the house and gardens at their best.
The house is the former home of the Mander family who created an important collection of Arts and Crafts pictures and furnishings including textiles, ceramics, embroidery, stained glass, metalwork and textiles by William Morris and other leading designers.
Our visit also included a talk in the De Morgan Gallery which displays drawings and paintings by Evelyn De Morgan and ceramics by her husband William De Morgan, a pre-eminent ceramics designer.
